"Pedaling for Pride" to raise money for United Way

Erica Proffer

United way workers want you to show your college football spirit and help them raise money. It's called "Pedaling for Pride." Volunteers are spending 12 hours on stationary bikes to raise money for the Wiregrass Untied Way. You can donate money by choosing which bike "team" to support. Your choices: Alabama, Auburn and Troy. Organizers hope to raise 25-thousand dollars today. “We just want to show the Wiregrass community cares about its community, its friends, its family and do all that we can to help anybody that's in need,” said Mary Beth Maddox, Wiregrass United Way. This marks the half-way point for the Wiregrass United Way's donation drive. Workers hope to raise $2.626 million this year.
