Small earthquake shakes central Alabama
A small earthquake has been reported in a central Alabama county for the second time in less than 24 hours.

CENTREVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A small earthquake has been reported in a central Alabama county for the second time in less than 24 hours.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 on the Richter scale occurred Wednesday at 12:28 a.m. CDT in Bibb County. The quake was about five miles deep in the Earth and was centered about 10 miles southeast of Centreville.
No one was hurt and authorities didn't report any damage.
An earthquake registering 3.8 on the Richter scale struck at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday about four miles north of Centreville. A smaller quake occurred Feb. 18 in Bibb County.
