LINEVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Two Lineville men have been charged with
manslaughter in the death of a 12-year-old boy from the Delta
community.

Authorities said Monday they are withholding much of the information surrounding the case of John Henry Bean's death Friday night.

Steve Cotney, spokesman for the Clay County Sheriff's Office,
said the child, John Henry Bean, went unconscious Friday night
while hanging out with friends, but could not say what authorities
believe happened to him.

Cotney said the boy's death seemed suspicious to officers, who
quickly began an investigation.

Cotney said two family friends Bean had been with that evening,
22-year-old Christopher Gene Poore and 18-year-old Ronald Patrick
Cornelius, were arrested late Saturday night and charged with
manslaughter.

Cotney said more information could be released later this week.
