NEW BROCKTON, Ala. (AP) - Life is returning to normal for the south Alabama man who won more than $1 million on the most recent season of the "Survivor" reality television show.
James Thomas Jr. was known as "J.T." on the show. The Samson
native has returned to his job managing a cattle ranch in Mobile, and he visited home last weekend.
Thomas said he's invested more of the prize money, but he did purchase a guitar for $400 and pay off his student loans. He plans to use a lot of his winnings to pay for college for his 11 nieces and one nephew.
Thomas' lifestyle has not changed much, except for a lot of autograph appearances at charity events from Boston to Cocoa Beach, Fla.
