MOULTON, Ala. (AP) - Moulton's fire chief says a woman in a
wheelchair was rescued through a window after a late-night fire
broke out in her home.
Chief Ryan Jolly said the woman, who owned the home, refused
treatment after her rescue from the single-story house in Lawrence
County Saturday night.
About 20 firefighters from the Moulton and Chalybeate Volunteer
Fire Department fought the fire. Firefighters remained on the scene
until 4 a.m. Sunday.
Jolly did not have the woman's age or name. He said the cause of
the fire is under investigation.
