So Chris Todd's the guy. Okay. I gotta admit, the news wasn't really surprising seeing who his competitors were. None of the options have "wowed" anybody during whatever time they had on the field, game or practice. Caudle was o.k. during A-Day.

All I can say is, Todd's "dead arm" must have come alive like something similar to the kid in the movie "Rookie of the Year". Who knows, maybe he's got some weird tendon-tightening thing happening?

Now we can play the fun game of conjecture, like...if Todd's arm had been super strong this time last year would it have made any difference in the offense? Would Tony Franklin still have a job? Would Tuberville? I still believe things would have played out the way they did simply because of Auburn's inability to totally buy in to the spread last season, whether philosophically or just plain lack of personel. But you have to believe they would've scored more than three points against Mississippi State. And maybe even beaten Vandy? Sorry Dores fans, that means you guys would have been left out of a bowl game again. Can we really credit Vanderbilt's monumental success of 2008 on the sore shoulder of a transfer QB from another state? Sure!

How about the class Kodi Burns showed? Accepting the decision and understanding he needed to show his team that he was behind it in order for the Tigers to have success. Great guy. Mature guy. Probably someone who can help make plays this season as a receiver or wildcat, too.
