Well, what do you think Tide fans? The 17-year drought is over and Nick Saban has led you back to the top of the college football world.

13 National Titles and the school's first win over Texas, ever. And it was all packaged in one of the finest venues I've ever watched a game in. The first time the Tide has played a bowl game at the Rose Bowl since 1946.

It was tough to pull it out of him, but Nick Saban eventually admitted he was "happy" after the win. The culmination of his vision for the program all of that. But, Saban says he's really happier for everyone else. He talked about all of the players and support staff that makes his program a success.

Give Saban about 24 hours and he'll be moving on to next season and recruiting and all of that jazz.

But, kudos to the Tide on a job well done. 14-0 for the first time in school history.

Another note: the Rose Bowl media staff were a pleasure to work with this week. They actually fed us five different meals today for those who chose to graze.

But, their rule was to not let local tv media on the field until five minutes remaining in the game. The joke is I guess on them. The final 5 minutes featured, three Texas turnovers, 2 Tide touchdowns and a ridiculous post-game celebration, Good times.

Tide folks, feel free to savor the moment... and then we'll begin pondering what could happen next year.
