So the past week or so I've noticed I have been waking up with a stuffy nose. I am under the impression it is allergy related, because I do not have an accompanying fever. I was also thinking it might be from going from a 68 degree studio to a 98 degree outdoors multiple times a day. I don't know what that diagnosis would be, but it seems feasible to me! I've lived here for about two years, along with my cat who has also had allergy problems. It sounds funny that a cat (pet dander being a leading cause of human allergies) would have airborne allergies like a person, but the vet told me it can take up to two years for an animal to develop allergies to a new place. Believe it or not I have to give her Benydril, powder from a caplet sprinked in some tuna water (the last time she tried it she foamed at the mouth over the horrible taste, and hid under the couch). Does anyone know what the major allergy culprits are this time of year? It can't be peanut dust just yet, but maybe it's grasses? Or pine? Does anyone have any home remedies they would like to share? I have been taking Zyrtec, and it hasn't been helping much at all. I hate taking Benydril, it makes me very groggy, but I'm afraid I might have to go back to it since it's the only thing that seems to work on my sinuses. I know Im not the only one out there being plagued by this, so if anyone has some answers, fire away!
Thanks! |

Me neither, and I don't care, my cats are too much fun, at least my dogs say so. |
