EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - A woman who was raped inside an Oregon
church has faced her attacker in court, forgiving him because Jesus
said to forgive your enemies.

But Eric Perino's victim said she'll never be able to forget what he did to her.

The 34-year-old Perino was sentenced Tuesday to more than eight
years in prison.

Prosecutors say that when Perino went to the Cottage Grove church looking for food and clothing, the 62-year-old woman working late let him inside and allowed him to play the church's piano and a guitar.

Prosecutors say that when she told Perino that the church was
closing for the night and it was time to go, he grabbed her from behind and raped her.

Before learning his sentence, Perino apologized to his victim and her family.
