LONDON (AP) - Christmas has come early to London. Actors Jim Carrey, Colin Firth and Bob Hoskins were there for Tuesday's world premiere of the 3-D animated film "A Christmas Carol," which features their voices.
The three stars turned on the Christmas lights at Oxford Circus and Regent Street -- London's main shopping areas -- and at St. Paul's Cathedral.
The St. Paul's Cathedral Choir then led more than 14,000 people in singing Christmas carols.
The film's director, Robert Zemeckis, says "A Christmas Carol" is "a story of redemption" that's both scary and hopeful.
