TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office says a
12-year-old Tallahassee girl who had stayed home sick from school
was tied up by robbers who came to her house but managed to escape
physically unharmed.
Leon County Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Tony Drzewiecki says
the girl had stayed home from school, and her parent was at work.
When she woke up, she found the armed men inside her house.
Drzewiecki says the girl managed to escape after being tied up for at least two hours and then ran to a neighbor's house for help.
She was not physically hurt but was shaken.
Deputies are investigating.
