Free gun lock safety program offered in Bay County Florida

Sheriff Frank McKeithen announced today that a Gun Lock Safety program will be held at each of the Bay County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Offices (CPO) on scheduled days in March and April, 2009.

Free gun locks will be made available to anyone 18 years of age or older, ID required.

Deputies will also be at each CPO to distribute the locks and answer any questions the public may have concerning gun safety.

The Gun Lock Safety Program will be held on these dates at the following locations:

March 12, 2009 – 1pm to 4pm
West End Crime Prevention Office
20620 Panama City Beach Parkway, Panama City Beach

March 19, 2009 - 1pm to 4pm
Southport Crime Prevention Office
7924 North Highway 77, Southport

March 26, 2009 - 1pm to 4pm
Cedar Grove Crime Prevention Office
2730 East 14th Street, Cedar Grove

April 2, 2009 - 1pm to 4pm
Callaway Crime Prevention Office
323 Berthe Avenue, Callaway

April 9, 2009 - 1pm to 4pm
North End Crime Prevention Office
15917 N. Hwy. 231, Youngstown
