JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jacksonville twin girls have died
after being pulled from a retention pond.

Police Lt. Larry Schmidt says the unidentified 2-year-old girls were pronounced dead after being taken to Shands Jacksonville hospital.

Fire and Rescue Department spokesman Tom Francis says when
rescue crews arrived, the girls had been pulled from the pond and
were given CPR by adults.

The girls were first reported missing about 12:20 p.m. and were
found by a family member in the water at the end of a dock.
