HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (AP) - Capt. John Kuklinski, of Hollywood Fire Rescue, says the boat was totaled in the explosion Saturday.
Kuklinski said fumes were trapped in the boat's bilge area after the owner fueled up the vessel at a Hollywood dock. That caused an explosion when the owner turned on the craft.
Kuklinski said the boat owner and passenger, who weren't
identified, jumped overboard and swam to a dock.
