For the first time, Coffee Springs and Samson held a joint Veterans' Day ceremony.

Area veterans along with school children took part in honoring those who've served in the nation's armed forces.

Several dozen veterans took center stage at the Coffee Spring’s football field.

The focus was the sacrifices made by those who've fought in America’s wars.

The keynote speech was made by Reverend Dale Morgan. As a young soldier, he spent nearly two years in the jungles of Vietnam.

Reverend Morgan says no matter one's political beliefs; it's critical that the troops get our support.

As part of the joint town event, next year's Veterans’ ceremony will take place at Samson High School.
