A former Dothan police department records employee is trying to get her job back.

Sherri Lynn Carroll of Slocomb was arrested last month on 22-counts of using the police department's records system for a non-law enforcement purpose.

She is accused of accessing criminal records of 7-people.

Carroll's defense lawyers say she was aiding superiors by accessing information.

If convicted Carroll could face a $5,000 dollar fine and up to 5-years in prison.

What is the matter with this woman? It sounds like she clearly misused her position. Some people just can't handle any amount of power, and I'm sure it was only a little bit of it oin this case. I hope they prosecute her to the fullest extent if she invade people's privacy for personal reasons.

This issue is very wide spread in Geneva, the data base has been used for personnel business for years in Geneva. Like a car repo business, and other situations of the like. A lot of dirt has been spread using this tool. Ask my sister-in-law.

she used her position for personal gain...she should be prosecuted as any criminal and if found guilty...should pay the price....
