An Enterprise man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife.

Around 10 pm Saturday night, 61-year-old Linda Johnson called the Enterprise police requesting help.

When officers arrived on the scene they heard gunshots and both Linda Johnson and the suspect, 65-year-old Delma Johnson, were lying on the ground.

Delma Johnson had a revolver near his hand.

The victim had been shot multiple times in the chest and the suspect had a gunshot wound to his right foot.

The victim told officers that her husband shot her. She died after being transported to Montgomery for medical treatment.

The suspect was treated and released from the medical center in Enterprise, then arrested for murder.

    Bond has not been set.

To know Mr. Johnson and read this is in disbelief. Mr. Johnson is a bright and intelligent person. Gene was my first Production Control Supersivor and under his leadership I learned a lot. All of AFS employers need to come together and PRAY for Mr. Johnson. My prayers are with his and Linda's family. Let's not find him gulity until we know the facts.

How can this be that Mr. Johnson can get out on bail and bascially be a free man. He is still living his life, but an innicent woman, a mother,a grandmother, a precious life was taken from us. She had so much to live for. Linda had so much family and friends, she was her families rock and foundation. Mr. Johnson did not think or care about what he has taken from us. Our lives will never be the same. Linda will be in our hearts forever.
