A local correctional officer is arrested for selling contraband to inmates.

34-year-old Ivan Duke Peters is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and smuggling contraband into a detention facility.

Peters was arrested while on duty Saturday night at the Washington Correctional Institution in Chipley, Florida.

Investigators say Peters was bringing contraband into the prison in exchange for cash from the inmates.
