Early Friday morning, the Dothan Police Department revealed more arrests and information from their ongoing drug operation, Circle City Crackdown.
Twenty-one days after the police made their first announcement, they revealed even more bounty collected from a drug operation in Dothan. Authorities picked up 15 individuals, most of them with previous charges and a significant amount of cold hard cash, which they hope to use in more investigations.
Dothan Police Chief John Powell said, "This operation is paying benefits; the items you see here; it's getting the dope off the streets, and that's what it's all about is putting the bad guys in jail."
Investigators rely heavily on the community for information on drug related activity. Authorities say some people are tired of the conditions, and they reach out for help.
"The people who live in the neighborhoods are affected by this. We really rely on that; it helps if people call us. If you don't want to call and identify yourself, please call Crime Stoppers," said Major Nick Monday with Dothan Police Department.
Police are also looking for six more individuals; Marcus Cotter of Dixon Stret, Gregory Vann of Slocomb, Olin Herndon of Abbeville, Walter Johnson of Grand Villa Drive, Calvin Thynes of Slocomb and Antonio Ousley of West Selma Street.
“We're concerned for the citizens, in what these people might do. That's why there's so much intensity in trying to get them off the streets," added Chief Powell.
If you have any information on the individuals the police are looking for, they ask that you contact Crime Stoppers at 793-7000.
