The mother who beat her six-month old boy to death has been sentenced to die by lethal injection.

Tierra Gobble was back in court Tuesday to hear Judge Lawson Little's sentence.

He said her crime wasn't acceptable in this community and sentenced her to die.

She nodded when the sentence was handed down and then cried after the hearing was over.

Judge Little will set an execution date sometime soon.
