Alabama Governor Bob Riley says he did not give GOP congressional candidate Harri Anne Smith permission to use video clips of him in her latest campaign ad.

The Republican Governor says he has not endorsed Smith or her opponent State Representative Jay Love in the GOP runoff for the 2nd Congressional District Seat.

Senator Smith says she used video found on the state of Alabama's website to show how Representative Love voted on Alabama’s oil issues.

"And its the Governor calling this committing, just talking about how irresponisble this committee was in addressing Alabama's oil problem and that is actually where we took the video," Sen. Smith says.

"Which as you can see it was a press release so, its public information already. "
