Thousands of motorists will only have to wait until next Wednesday to drive on a popular road in Dothan.
Workers are replacing storm drainage pipes near the 41-hundred block of Fortner Street near the Laver Hills subdivision.
Detours are currently in place because workers are taking two 60-inch metal storm pipes that were heavily rusted and replacing them with concrete ones.
The construction will add width to the shoulder of the road, improving safety for drivers.
Public Works Director, Jerry Corbin, expects the road to be open next Wednesday afternoon.
