But what is ADEM going to do about the storage tanks that are already leaking and causing damage? The property that I manage has been dealing with ADEM for almost 8 years now and we still have contaminated water seeping out of the ground. How long does it really take for paperwork to make it through the chain of command? They seem to want to inforce this, but when it comes down to helping the vicitim of someone else's poor judgement or lack there of, they seem dumb founded. I have done my research and know that there are funds out there for clean up, but what is it going to take for them to get the paperwork through to do this. We are spending money to clean up someone else's mess, wasting time playing the waiting game with ADEM and losing money because of this. Someone really needs to step it up at ADEM. Maybe the EPA Region 4 would like to hear of this.
