All a person has to do is read about some of the horrible crimes that are taking place today. It would seem that your not even safe in your own home let alone while shopping or driving some place. The Police cannot be everyplace at one time and with many cut backs being put in place by State and Local Governments due to rising cost's (Fuel for vehicles & Medical expenses for employees) Have you noticed how many departments have cut to a Four day work week or have you every wondered how many departments have cut back to having officers on "Stand By" and reacting to calls only rather than being on patrol? In effect the Citizen has little choice with Home Invasions Crimes and Personal Assaults on the rise protecting ones self and family is the right thing to do.
