Five children found living in an active meth house has been treated at an area hospital.

Bay County authorities say they dismantled a meth lab leading to the arrest of two people.

32-year-old Daniel Hammock and 35-year-old Christina Dunkley face a number of charges including trafficking and manufacturing meth and child abuse.

Narcotics officers say they searched a home on Lighthouse Road in Panama City Beach and found five children living in the home with an active meth lab.

Reportedly, dangerous fumes, created during the meth cooking process, were present in the home.

Officers had to wear protective suits and breathing gear in order to safely remove the lab.

The children, ranging from age 8 to 14, were taken to an area hospital for medical attention.
