Representatives of Pilgrims Pride along with local economic developers broke ground on a new grain facility in Pinckard, Alabama.
The new facility will consist of eight grain silos holding 700,000 bushels of corn and over 2 tons of soybean meal.
A new rail line will branch off the main CSX line to allow almost over 100 cars of soybeans and corn to leave the site at once.
Construction of the new facility could reach completion in mid 2009
