The City of Dothan has experienced small, isolated power outages in several areas across the city since Friday night.
The largest power outages occurred in the areas of Haven Road, Prevatt Road and Deerpath Road. An estimated total of 6,000 citizens experienced a loss of power.
Due to the quick response from Dothan Utilities crews, no more than 3,000 have been without power at one time.
According to Billy Mayes, the Director of Dothan Utilities, these power outages were due to fallen trees and branches on power lines.
The Dothan Police and Fire Department would like to remind everyone to use 911 for emergencies only.
To report a power outage, please call 615-3302.
Information and non-emergency requests should go through the Dothan/Houston County EMA Helplines at 334-702-2214 / 334-702-2215 / 334-702-2216.
