Some Geneva residents are keeping a close eye on rising river waters. Double Bridges Creek is one of a half-dozen waterways which flows into the Choctawhatchee River.

The Old Pridgen Trailer Park in Geneva is close to the creek's banks, during periods of high water, it has caused minor flooding issues there.

Geneva's flood stage on the Choctawhatchee is 23-feet and early projections have the river rising to more than 27-feet on Monday.

Geneva County E.M.A. director Margaret Mixon says several feet over the flood stage will cause minor water issues for those living in low-lying areas along the Choctawhatchee.
