A one-time volunteer fire chief in the wiregrass finds himself in trouble with the law.
Chris Sellers was booked into the Geneva County Jail shortly after being indicted by a grand jury.
The 25-year-old former Coffee Springs fire chief is charged with use of office for personal gain.
Geneva County sheriff's officials say Sellers used fire department money for personal use.
Last year, after a contentious town council meeting, a new chief was appointed to replace Sellers.
The amount of fire department money allegedly misappropriated is more than several hundred dollars.
