Esto officials say they need an ordinance to restrict the number of businesses selling alcohol.
The town is within close proximity of Geneva County which is dry. There are five stores in the 350 resident town, which sell alcohol.
The town council wants distance restrictions of one to three-thousand feet from churches.
Business that already have beer and liquor licenses will be grandfathered in as existing establishments.
The proposed alcohol ordinance will be presented for final approval at the October 7th Esto town council meeting.
