A Crimestoppers reward is being offered to any information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for leaving a loaded gun with inmates.
Early Monday morning, an inmate found a loaded gun lodged inside the seams of a mattress distributed to him.
It's believed the gun was left by a jail employee.
Now to broaden the investigation, the Dothan police department is teaming up with the Houston County sheriff's department.
A $2,000 Crimestopper's reward is being offered to the person who can give tips leading to a suspect's arrest. That number is 793-7000.
