Tallahassee Police say Christie Murphy accidentally shot herself in the leg while at the McDonald's at 1944 North Monroe Street.

Police say Murphy was in the drive-thru around 10:30 last night. She told police she reached into the console of the car she was driving to get her purse but her boyfriend's gun was in the way.

When Murphy tried to move the weapon, it fired and struck her in the right leg.

Murphy was stabilized at the scene and taken to Tallahassee Memorial for further treatment.
