The appointment came today during the Houston County Commission meeting.
The non-profit organization will oversee the financial aspect of electronic bingo revenue from Country Crossing.
The association will provide those funds to the Houston County Foundation who will then distribute them into the community.
The commission says they don't want the project to stall on their end and they needed to start filling out the necessary paperwork.
Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver said, "What we want to do is get our rules and regulations which requires that we have an appointment in place so they can form the group. Its way early still and the details are down the road somewhere."
Groundbreaking for country crossing is set for Monday, October 27th.
