Flowers Hospital is now home to new equipment that speeds up recovery time for patients.
It's called The Da Vinci Machine and it is run by robotics. Already six doctors have been trained to use the equipment.
The machine allows doctors to create a tiny incision to operate, as opposed to cutting several inches of a patient's skin to reach the problem-area. Only 18 percent of hospitals in the nation are home to this cutting-edge technology.
Lana Moulton with Flowers Hospital said, "It is minimally evasive, and the patients have a shorter hospital stay, less blood loss and the outcomes they're really excited about."
Three procedures have already been done using The Davinci Machine at Flowers Hospital.
