Stop whining about increased taxes. This is for our children's future. One cannot put a price tag on education. At least we're not giving up our tax dollars to bail some greedy corporate giant out of bankruptcy. This is a good cause and we all should chip in to support our school system, which in my humble opinion is one of the best in the state. I for one would like to keep it that way.

You are being misled by city officials. It is a new tax. The health care tax will EXPIRE. This will be a new tax. I have documentation from Enterprise City Hall backing my statements. Resolution 09-16-08 asks for a TAX INCREASE. The mill rate is the same as the health care tax so officials are trying to pass this off as not being a tax increase. If the mill requested for Tuesday's vote was actually below the health care rate it would still be a new tax and a tax increase. Since the city wants the money for more years they are increasing the amount of money they will be requiring citizens to pay. Also, the tax money collected will go into the city's general fund and a portion of the money will go to assisting with schools reconstruction until 2016. Then the money will go for city infrastructor. Seven years helping the schools, 18 years all the taxes for the city. The city leaders need to be more forthcoming. I have official documentation for anyone to see upon request. (334)701-5774
