Elderly Florala Woman Dies in a Single Car Crash Save Email Print

A | A | A An elderly southeast Alabama woman has died in a single car crash in north Okaloosa County. The mishap happened on State Road 85 about 5 miles north of Crestview. The Florida Highway Patrol identified the fatality as 70-year-old Janet L. Sims of Florala, Alabama. Troopers say the woman was southbound of State Road 85 when her car drifted onto the shoulder of the highway and crashed into a culvert. She was not wearing a seatbelt and died later at Sacred Heart in Pensacola.
