Fire Destroys Columbia Scrap Yard
A fire in Columbia kept Houston County firefighters busy Thursday afternoon.

A fire in Columbia kept Houston County firefighters busy Thursday afternoon.
The blaze broke out in a scrap yard on the corner of Hancock and Washington streets.
Volunteer firefighters from Columbia, Webb, Ashford and Haleburg responded to the call.
The structure on the site was a total loss as well as several vehicles stored behind a fence were also damaged or destroyed.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
