Across the state of Georgia, shoppers are getting a break from having to pay state sales tax on certain purchases.
It's part of Georgia's effort to help give families a break who are trying to buy school supplies and clothes for their children.
But there's a catch, items bought must be under $100 and certain items such as cosmetics are still taxed.
Local shoppers say they are glad to have a tax break, even if it's just for a few days.
If you are planning to take advantage of the tax free days you have until Saturday before the sales tax is added back on.
Neither Alabama or Florida is offering a tax free day this year for its residents.
