The recession has affected many people businesses and schools. And the latest in a private school that’s been in operation for almost 50 years.
Panama City Christian School confirmed Monday afternoon that the school is closing tomorrow.
The school, which is a ministry of Central Baptist Church, has seen a decline in enrollment due mostly to the struggling economy.
Dr. Bruce Barton, Panama Christian’s President is sending letters to all church members, school family and employees homes.
The letters to parents include any refunds for pre-paid for tuition for the next school year.
Dr. Barton says the Child Development Center and summer camp program will continue as scheduled through August 14th.
