Covington County sheriff's office investigators are looking into the death of a woman near Florala.
The sheriff's office is continuing to investigate what could possibly be a murder.
According to Sheriff Dennis Meeks, Dorothy Cravey Copeland was found dead Friday morning at her home on North Creek Road off Highway 55 near the Yellow River Bridge.
The home was not a place anyone would expect foul play.
It's out in the country next to a hay field, there were no immediate neighbors who could have heard or seen anything.
Sheriff Meeks believes Copeland is in her early 60s.
Relatives assembled outside her home as investigators were inside gathering evidence until at least after 2 pm Friday afternoon.
They'll be releasing more information as soon as the evidence can be processed.
No suspect has been identified in this case.
We will continue to follow this story as it develops and bring you the latest information as soon as we get it.
