Some Dothan citizens have formed an organization to help P.A.S.S. Academy.
This morning at the school, the "Citywide Citizens Coalition for P.A.S.S.” met to donate supplies.
Members of the group come from the NAACP and the yes we can initiative.
Included in the donation were paper products, hand soap, cleaning supplies, and other toiletries.
Because funding for Dothan city schools has been cut due to proration, this new formed organization also hopes to raise money for the school.
"We believe in PASS academy, we think that it should stay open. It provides a tremendous service for kids who are most at risk, and we think it should be here for the community" Ed Vaughn, Coordinator for The Coalition for P.A.S.S
The group plans on making periodic donations to P.A.S.S. Academy.
