Cocaine Bust
On Saturday, October 24, 2009, the Jackson County Drug Task Force along with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Florida Highway Patrol Contraband Interdiction Unit concluded a long-term investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in Jackson County, Florida.

On Saturday, October 24, 2009, the Jackson County Drug Task Force along with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Florida Highway Patrol Contraband Interdiction Unit concluded a long-term investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in Jackson County, Florida.
Micheal Fizgerald Jackson, 31, of Greenwood, Florida has long been a substantial dealer of crack cocaine in Jackson County. Jackson was arrested on a traffic stop on outstanding Jackson County Warrants for the Sale of Cocaine. A search warrant was conducted at his residence located at 5543 Prairieview Road. During the coarse of the search of Jackson’s residence, money, drugs and weapons were seized along with seven vehicles. Micheal Jackson was booked into the Jackson County Jail to await first appearance on his charges.
During the arrest, Micheal Jackson’s father-in-law, Willie Hall, came to the location of the traffic stop driving in a reckless manor. Hall exited his vehicle and began shouting obscenities at officer’s threatening their safety and impeding their investigation. Officer’s requested that Hall depart the scene multiple time however he did not. When officers attempted to place Hall under arrest, he struggled with officers before finally being placed in handcuffs. Hall was arrested for resisting an officer without violence. Willie Hall was transported to the Jackson County Jail to await first appearance on his charge.
An associate of Micheal Jackson’s, Gianna R. Simmons, 39, of 4240 Vallie Road, Marianna, Florida, was also arrested on charges of Sale of Cocaine. When arrested, Simmons was found to be in possession of approximately $1000 of crack cocaine and multiple devices used to smoke crack cocaine. In addition to outstanding warrants on Gianna Simmons, she is additionally being charged with possession of controlled substance, cocaine, with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gianna R. Simmons was booked into the Jackson County Jail to await first appearance on her charges.
The Jackson County Drug Task Force is the combined effort of the Cottondale Police Department, Graceville Police Department, Marianna Police Department, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
