Third and fourth graders put on a program today to honor our veterans and celebrate their freedoms.
Children led the pledge of allegiance, sang songs and gave thanks to our veterans.
Several Wiregrass veterans were in attendance to enjoy the children's presentation.
Midland City School Music Teacher Pam Bennett said, “Little children, some of them did not understand that there are countries that don't have freedom so they have a much better understanding from 1st to 4th grade that this has helped them to understand we have a great American and they should appreciate it.”
Veteran's Day is officially celebrated on November 11.
