Thanksgiving season is coming up, and farmers and industries are being honored and appreciated at this year's Coffee County Farm-City Week.

Awards were given to top businesses and farmers for livestock, peanuts, cotton, forestry and service.

James Farris was awarded the “Farm of Distinction” honor.

"Farming is a hard business and of course we had some industrial people that were honored and without a lot of these folks Coffee County wouldn't be what it is today and we just want to let them know we appreciate it,” says Farm-City Chairman Bill McCrary.
