The City of Enterprise Parks and Recreation Department will host the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 6:00pm at the Enterprise Recreational Complex on Highway 167 North.
This annual event will feature Christmas Carols, hot chocolate, coffee, and pictures with Santa Claus. The rain date will be Friday, December 4, 2009
This year’s program is still in the planning stages, but will feature “Every Light a Prayer for Peace,” presented by the Garden Club, and a Reason for the Season presentation.
The evening will conclude with the arrival of Santa Claus.
Mayor Kenneth Boswell is urging Enterprise residents to participate in the tree lighting. He says, “This event really brings our community together and refocuses our attention on the real Reason for the Season. It is always a joy to watch children bring in the season and we want as much participation as possible!”
Parks and Recreation Director, Billy Powell, adds, “This event is not just for kids, but for big kids as well, including parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Everyone should come.”
There will be event fliers distributed around the city. If residents have questions, they should contact Tara Emnett, Special Projects Coordinator at (334) 348-2603.
