Pensacola Attorney Pleads No Contest to Felony Charges
An attorney disbarred after admitting he misappropriated more than half a million dollars from clients' accounts pleaded no contest to felony charges.

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - An attorney disbarred after admitting he misappropriated more than half a million dollars from clients' accounts pleaded no contest to felony charges.

Vincent J- Whibbs Junior faces between four and 65 years in prison for charges of racketeering, grand theft and mortgage fraud.

The criminal investigation alleges that Whibbs not only embezzled trust-account money, but that he also bilked another client out of $150,000 to help repay the missing money.

Whibbs will remain free until a sentencing scheduled for August 17.

Whibbs' is the son of the late Pensacola Mayor Emeritus Vince Whibbs Senior.
