A one-time teacher and former community leader in Enterprise finds herself in legal trouble once again.

Elayne Jackson Cole was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance by Enterprise Police.

She was released under a 5,000 dollar property bond.

The 65-year-old's arrest comes more than a month after she was arrested in both Hartford and Dothan for a total of eight-counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Cole was reportedly posing as a nurse and approaching various pharmacies attempting to fill fake prescriptions for pain medications.

Back in the mid-1960s,. Cole and several others were credited with helping form the Enterprise Rescue Squad.
