Dothan police arrested two men accused of stripping copper wiring from air conditioners.

23-year-olds Thomas Allen and Timothy Barnes, both of Dothan, are charged with 2nd degree theft of property.

The two allegedly took the copper wire from the 600 block of Headland Avenue.

A witness reported a suspicious white van in the area.

Police pulled over a van that matched the description and say they found the copper wire inside.

Allen is in the Houston County Jail on a $2,500 dollars bond.

Barnes is being held in the Dothan City Jail on unrelated charges.
