there was a drowing only 2 years ago. what do it take for a family event be made safe.children has always been in there swimming, if it wasnt safe then it should have been made aware to out of towners , and children should have been told to get out. the other children couldnt get help far 20 or 25 minutes with all the boats that were in the water. why?
i am the mother of my 27 year old son. if the river is what they saw it is, there should be fence up to kept children out of water. it is strange its all fenced except the river. if there had been signs warning up, my child would have obey the warning, but what a bout little children that has a child to stray away from parents. they cant even read. a fence is the only answer. it want bring my son back but may save a nother, i plan to sue or take it all the way to washington to have it made safe or the festival movied from river. my son has always swim there along with smaller childing every since i been going to the fest. the have sports on river. the marian boat chaseing a stole boat, wasnt he suppose to be gaurding the people at the river. i dont want other mothers to suffer the pain i an in, it could have been yours as well as mine, please join in to help me make this a safe event or have it movied to new location . my son was a good swimming, but they saw the best , could drown ,
Next year they should have the authorities down by the river to make sure no one swims in there.
i think we should sue the festival on the rivers for letting a mentally challenged dude in the water.
We the family of Joseph Williamson would like to thank everyone who helped in the search and rescue. We would especially like to thank the Mayor and Lt.Ricky Morgan for everything they did for our family in this hardest of times. Thank You All!
