A grassfire in Houston County has some residents on alert.

The fire was reported around 12:30 PM Sunday near Clark's Grocery on County Road 109.

High winds quickly spread the fire to a nearby pine orchard.

The Houston County EMA, Houston County Sheriff office and the Alabama Forestry Division responded to the scene.

No one was evacuated and no injuries were reported.
